Collectible Tool Memorabilia

I bought this off of a press-kit supplier on eBay for about $3.50 many years back after winning an auction for an A Perfect Circle Press Kit and sending an e-mail asking the dealer what else he had. Has a bunch of interesting commentary from the band and apparently where the “lachrymology” thing orignated.

Back before the internet was a big thing, you could write to the band from an address listed in the CD manual. They would reply back with a canned newsletter (much more informative than the stuff Blair writes these days) and merchandise ordering form. This newletter mentions a list of suggested books for fans of Tool, artwork by Adam, and included a setlist of upcoming tour dates.

The merch forms sold Tool “wrench” sticker for $2, so as a kid I loaded up on a few to put on my bike, school books, etc.

The postcards were received from a local independent record store owner who knew I was a Tool fan.

I was given this by a friendly bartender at a local Wine Bar (Vintropolis in Houston, TX) after mentioning that I sing in a Tool Tribute band (http://spiraloutband.com).

Not sure the significance of this, but it was included in the promo photo set and printed on the same photo stock.
